Packaging Engineer

+ Evaluate if units can fit in current packaging and make necessary adjustments.
+ Review and modify design work from suppliers as needed.
+ Add corner posts to designs without altering existing parts, if feasible.
+ Create build guides for each model size, including 120g units.
+ Design crates and ensure all current drawings and parts are updated.
+ Manage projects to ensure parts and drawings are available for sourcing.
+ Assign timelines for packaging part completion that align with NPI schedules.
+ Collaborate on the design of 40, 50, 65, and 80g LITE HPWH units.
+ Determine necessary changes to corrugate or foam parts and update designs.
+ Confirm ISTA tests per SC mapping and determine sample quantities needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Packaging Engineering.
+ Experience with Solidworks and ARTIOS.
+ 3-10 years of experience in Packaging Engineering.
+ Degree in Packaging Engineering, preferably from Clemson, Michigan State, or Wisconsin-Stout.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with expendable packaging.
+ Strong project management capabilities.
Work Environment
The position is hybrid, with initial training in Montgomery. Travel back to Montgomery for updates and meetings will be required as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Montgomery, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
