Our client, a leading company in the consumer goods manufacturing industry, is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the Product Development Department supporting Manufacturing and Quality teams. The ideal candidate will have innovative thinking, strong collaboration skills, and a detail-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Packaging Engineer
**Location: Fairfield, CT**
**Pay Range:** $110,000 - $115,000
**What's the Job?**
+ Design, test, and deliver new and revised packaging concepts focusing on innovation, sustainability, functionality, and value.
+ Manage the entire lifecycle of packaging materials from raw sourcing to post-consumer stream, ensuring quality and compliance.
+ Lead company-wide initiatives to establish, document, and improve packaging processes and standards.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Marketing to ensure seamless project execution.
+ Stay informed about emerging packaging technologies and industry trends, bringing innovative ideas to the organization.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
+ 3-7 years of experience in package design and development, with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain processes.
+ Deep knowledge of the flexible packaging industry, including materials, substrates, and printing technologies.
+ Experience with material qualifications, machine trials, and regulatory compliance, including Food Safety standards.
+ Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
