Job Description

The Outside Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Independent Contractor (IC) relationship and performing administrative functions to support the Outside Operations team. This role aims to promote excellent customer service across all transportation activities by acting as an IC liaison, coordinating resources to expedite workflow, and proactively resolving issues.

ResponsibilitiesAdvertise Independent Contractor (IC) vacancies on various media platforms.Coordinate onboarding of ICs, including obtaining and uploading documentation.Provide guidance and ensure compliance with field offices regarding IC interactions and relationships.Prepare and assemble driver guides based on customer and regulatory requirements.Manage revisions to the Independent Contractor Reference Guide.Manage the Independent Contractors' yearly expiring contracts to ensure new contracts are executed without service gaps.Track expiring credentials for ICs and upload current credentials in Fleet Mentor.Follow up with ICs who terminate their contracts.Perform regular administrative tasks to support the team.Assist with business projects and reporting.Actively identify and engage in process improvements.Adhere to organizational goals and objectives.Demonstrate open, effective communication and teamwork.Maintain customer focus.Act with integrity and professionalism.Work to maintain quality standards.Balance client requirements with company policies and operational procedures.Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance.Essential SkillsCRM experienceCustomer support experienceDispatch experienceInbound and outbound call handlingAt least 2 months of administrative experienceStrong Microsoft Office Excel skillsData entry expertiseCRM proficiencyTyping speed of at least 37 WPMStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with spreadsheetsCall center experienceLogistics and scheduling coordinationAdditional Skills & QualificationsComfortable working in a fast-paced office environment while multi-taskingDetail-oriented with sensitivity to accurate verbal and written communicationAbility to manage several concurrent projects with high attention to detail and accuracyEnjoy being part of a cooperative and considerate teamProficiency in Microsoft Office and CRMWork Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
