Outpatient Post-Doctoral Fellow (PhD) - Pro Fee Services
**Job Overview** Under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist and/or Social Worker, conducts initial and follow-up psychological, including cognitive, evaluations of patients referred for psychological services, and provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy services employing evidence-based treatment in a structured, defined practice management approach. Independently plans, organizes, implements and documents psychological interventions based on the results of psychological evaluations and in conjunction with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Accepts assignments in support of department initiatives consistent with advanced degree, training, and experience. **Responsibilities** + Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served. + Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making. + Communicates in a respective manner. + Ensures a safe, secure environment. + Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs. + Modifies clinical interventions based on population served. + Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver. + Fulfills all organizational requirements. + Completes all required learning relevant to the role. + Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards. + Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Conducts evaluation and documents assessment in medical record. + Collaborates with patients, family, and other colleagues to develop a treatment plan of care. + Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs. + Maintains required, appropriate and timely communication and correspondence with treatment authorization and payer sources to promote efficient and effective delivery of clinical services. + Provides individual, family, couples and group therapy as indicated. + Provides therapy using an organized, structured evidence-based therapy approach. + Completes required processes for client registration and treatment authorization and billing. + Receives at least one hour of individual supervision from a Licensed Psychologist per week. + Receives at least one hour of group supervision from a licensed progressional per week. + Record Keeping: Maintains accurate, complete, and timely documentation in medical records. + Ensures compliance with both department and Fairview policies and standards for inclusion of required documentation. + Maintains consistency with all applicable timelines. This includes but is not limited to having all ongoing treatment documentation entered into the electronic medical record within 24 hours of the service delivery occurring. + Service to Internal and External Customers - Provides psychological testing (Minimum of 50%). + Conducts and analyzes psychometric testing and combines with diagnostic interview and background information when completing psychological evaluations. + Conducts specialty evaluations including ADHD and Bariatric Surgery Evaluations. + Completes all psychological testing reports/documentation and billing in a timely manner. + Provides consultative support regarding psychometric testing to FCC clinical staff. + Demonstrates the ability to advance evidence-based practice by utilizing standards, guidelines and pathways for care delivery. + Engages continuously in care-related quality improvement to optimize outcomes and patient experience. + Advances clinical development across FCC providers by providing in-services and staff training, participating in clinical development initiatives and workgroups. + Participates in the development and implementation of customer service quality assurance and improvement initiatives. + Participates in development, training and utilization of qualitative and quantitative date to support QA/I and system operations. + Adjusts care delivery in terms of schedule, location, types of service, visibility and other factors as needed to achieve and sustain system productivity goals. + Develops and maintains positive and collaborative relationships. + Promotes open and effective lines of communication with all active and potential customers. + Actively promotes integrated care delivery through proactive collaboration with primary care medical and behavioral health providers. + Interacts in a positive and facilitative manner with all internal and external customers. + Meets or exceeds Fairview, Fairview-University Medical Center, department, managed care and payer-related quality assurance and customer satisfaction standards. **Required Qualifications** + Doctoral degree in a field of psychology recognized by the Minnesota Board of Psychology + Completion of Doctoral Internship **Benefit Overview** Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
