Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician II for our Outpatient Pharmacy at Martha Jefferson Hospital

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Status: Full Time (40hrs/week)

Hours: 8:30am-5pm

Performs care delivery and dispensing of medication under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.

Participates in the training of new employeesEnsures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient careTriages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as neededUses appropriate systems for processing patient informationAssumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasks related to pharmacy operationsEnsures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirementsOperates pharmacy equipment appropriatelyIn addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification/Licensure

Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)

CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Required)

Experience

2 Years Pharmacy Experience (Required)
