Outgoing Quality Control Team Leader

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Outgoing Quality Control Team Leader at MKS Malaysia, you will partner with Quality Engineering and Manufacturing and Test to verify the quality of finish goods. In this role, you will report to the Quality Engineering Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

Supervise and schedule outgoing inspection technicians to meet daily/weekly shipment targets. 

Provide training and coaching on inspection techniques, documentation accuracy, and compliance standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, TS16949). 

Ensure on-time-delivery by monitoring the timely completion of final inspections without compromising quality standards and promptly escalate any issues before they become bottlenecks.

Ensure final inspections include visual, dimensional, and functional checks per drawings and specifications which including packaging and labels compliances. 

Validate completeness of Final Test and Inspection Records and shipping documentation.

Maintain and enforce standard work for outgoing inspection processes. 

Ensure adherence to ESD, FOD, and cleanliness controls. 

Support internal and external audits with records and process walk-throughs. 

Oversee calibration and proper use of inspection tools and test equipment. 

Analyze defect trends and inspection performance; implement corrective actions and process improvements. 

Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve flow. 

Drive initiatives to reduce inspection lead time and improve accuracy.

This position does not require travel with the exception of off-site training as needed. 


Skills You Bring:

Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering, E&E, electromechanical or Equivalent.

5+ years in quality inspection or manufacturing quality, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. 

Strong knowledge of GD&T, precision measurement tools, and functional testing methods. 

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. 

Familiarity with ISO 9001 and regulated industry standards (ISO 13485 or AS9100) (Be aware of ISO 9001). 

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. 


Preferred Skills:

Experience with complex electromechanical assemblies (automotive. medical devices, robotics, aerospace). 

Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards. 

ERP/QMS experience for inspection documentation and traceability. 

Exposure to lean/continuous improvement methodologies. 


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 30–40 lbs. occasionally, maneuver totes and parts.

Prolonged standing/sitting at inspection stations; fine motor skills for small components; use of magnifiers/microscopes.

Work in ESD-controlled environment; use PPE as required.

Flexibility for shift coverage and occasional overtime to support production schedules.

Ability to accurately differentiate color-coded components, markings, and visual indicators in accordance with inspection standards.
