We are seeking an Occupational Therapist who values consistency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and developmentally appropriate, family-centered care. This role is well suited for an OT who wants to build skills and relationships while supporting functional independence across daily routines, play, mobility, and participation.

What You’ll Do:

Perform comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Support residents with ADLs, fine motor skills, sensory processing, positioning, and functional mobility

Deliver developmentally appropriate, goal-driven interventions in individual and group settings

Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams on care planning, progress monitoring, and transitions

Responsibilities

OT - Occupational Therapist:

 

Clinical Practice & Resident Care

Plan, develop, implement, evaluate, and direct occupational therapy services and programs.

Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and chart reviews in accordance with physician orders and facility policy.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on residents’ medical, functional, and social histories.

Provide individual, supervised, and group occupational therapy interventions.

Monitor residents’ responses to treatment and consult with physicians regarding modifications as needed.

Promote resident participation in individual and group therapeutic and recreational activities.

Provide, recommend, fabricate, and train residents and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment, orthotics, and prosthetics as appropriate.

Documentation & Records Management

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment records, and individual files.

Complete required medical forms, reports, studies, and charting in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards.

Maintain current electronic records for all individuals treated.

Adhere to departmental documentation procedures, ensuring notes are clear, descriptive, and reflective of resident response to care.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Care Planning

Collaborate with administration, medical staff, nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive rehabilitation services.

Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning processes.

Work with facility consultants as needed and assist with implementing recommended changes.

Program Development, Education & Quality

Develop, implement, and maintain occupational therapy standards, policies, and procedures.

Review and update departmental policies, procedures, manuals, and job descriptions at least annually.

Conduct and participate in in-service education, orientation, and training programs for department staff.

Participate in quality improvement, clinical, safety, and performance improvement initiatives as requested.

Qualifications

OT - Occupational Therapist:

Must possess, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programMust possess current, unencumbered license to practice as an Occupational Therapist from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania At least 1 year of experience in a medical pediatric populationMust be at least 21 years of agePossesses and maintains currentvalid CPR and First Aid CertificationThis position requires regular interaction with patients, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
