Yes If Temporary, enter End Date: 07/29/2026 Position Summary As a member of the Orientation staff, the Administrative Coordinator assists in providing a welcoming, inclusive experience for our new students and families that attend our Orientation program. The Administrative Coordinator plays a vital role in meeting the administrative needs of our Orientation program by spending significant time in the office preparing for each session by printing lists, gathering supplies and organizing materials.

Experience Cortland dives deep into the region’s offerings Major Responsibilities Assist with management of orientation database Develop and implement Orientation check-in procedures, including creation of all check-in lists Coordinate accommodations for those in need Train Orientation Assistants on check-in procedures Manage and monitor Orientation social media Answer questions about orientation from students, families, faculty and staff via phone, email and in person attendance at the orientation programs Functional and Supervisory Relationships Reports to Associate Director for Transition Programs Required Qualifications Experience with Cortland’s Orientation program Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel Oral and written communication skills Organization and problem-solving skills Knowledge of SUNY Cortland’s Orientation program About the University A top public university of approximately 6,600 students located in the geographic center of New York State, SUNY Cortland provides accessible, affordable education to students from across the U.S. body.
