As an Order to Cash Accounting Specialist, you will support European accounting operations with a focus on managing key customer accounts, day-to-day accounting activities, and month-end close tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail and close collaboration with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer account matters and accurate financial reporting. You will play a key role in supporting month-end and year-end close activities while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will report to the Financial Controller.
What You Will Do:
Take ownership of accounts receivable for key customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processingPerform account reconciliations and ensure data accuracyRespond to customer and internal inquiries related to customer accountsReview customer accounts and release sales orders in line with credit policiesCreate, maintain, and update customer master dataReview and assess new German customer credit applicationsSupport European accounting operations, including month-end and year-end closing activitiesCollaborate with internal departments, including Sales and Customer Service, to resolve account issues or disputesEscalate high-risk or delinquent accounts to the Financial Controller as neededWhat You Need to Be Successful:
An understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable processes, and financial reporting standardsAt least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, preferably with exposure to European operationsDemonstrable knowledge of SAP ERP systems and Microsoft ExcelProficiency in month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, and credit managementWell-versed in internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment related to customer accountsStrong communications skills, excellent time management and prioritization abilities, a confident and assertive approach, and a collaborative mindset.Bonus Points if You Have:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProfessional certificationsExperience working with European or international accounting standards (IFRS)Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuitePrior experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple geographiesWhat Makes You Eligible
