Order Processing Specialist
Job Title: Order Processing Specialist Job Description We are seeking a customer-focused Order Processing Specialist to provide exceptional service to clients by ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Responsibilities + Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person. + Utilize ERP System to process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently. + Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions. + Collaborate with the sales, production, and shipping departments to ensure timely delivery of products. + Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner. + Provide product information and support to customers. + Assist in the development and implementation of customer service policies and procedures. + Participate in training programs to stay updated on product knowledge and company offerings. + Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing all communications and support needs. + Coordinate and communicate changes to orders or delivery timelines with both customers and internal teams. + Interpret and relay customer-specific requirements across departments. + Enter and manage customer sales orders in the ERP system with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. + Monitor and resolve daily EDI order issues; maintain and update customer portals as needed. + Collaborate with production scheduling to align delivery timelines with manufacturing priorities. + Track finished goods inventory and recommend adjustments to meet customer demand. + Report on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, backlog status, and service trends. + Support product launches, including setup of new items, shipping locations, and routing requirements. + Contribute to the development of order processing procedures and contingency plans. + Identify service gaps and propose solutions to support continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills + 3+ years of proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. + ERP experience, ideally with SAP or Plex. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong organizational and multitasking skills. + Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. + Experience with OEM portals (e.g., Ford, GM, Stellantis, Mack/Volvo) is a huge plus. + Familiarity with EDI standards is a huge pl Work Environment Work alongside a team of two others in a supportive environment where teamwork and innovation are valued. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
