Job Title: Order Picker

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Order Picker to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking orders according to the pick ticket, handling products like buckets of paint weighing between 12 lbs and 60 lbs. Training will be provided for operating a reach forklift after mastering the pallet jack. You will also use ride-on electric pallet jacks and an RF scanner for scanning products. Additionally, you may need to relabel certain items and use the auto-wrapper. With historical order picking rates of one order every half hour, you will also receive training in tinting once proficient in order picking.

ResponsibilitiesPick orders as per the pick ticket using ride-on electric pallet jacks.Operate a reach forklift and pallet jack after in-house training.Scan all products using an RF scanner and relabel items if necessary.Use an auto-wrapper for packing.Maintain productivity by picking approximately 10-16 orders in an 8-hour day.Perform tinting (mixing paint colors) once trained.Contribute to general warehouse duties like sweeping the floor as needed.Essential Skills1+ years of experience in a warehouse or a similar physical job.Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.Proficiency in operating a pallet jack.Reliable transportation.Steel-toe work boots.Ability to pass a check.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift certification (reach truck) is a plus.6+ months of experience with a pallet jack is preferred.Interest in a long-term opportunity.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is in a medium-sized, temperature-controlled warehouse with a team that will expand to seven individuals. The environment is clean but can be dusty, so candidates with allergies should consider this. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with training potentially starting earlier. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toe boots, and a blue shirt provided by the company. The warehouse is equipped with fans to combat summer heat.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
