Job Title: Order Picker
Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our team. This role involves picking, packing, and shipping orders with precision and efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate order fulfillment.

ResponsibilitiesActively pursue continuous improvement and ease of performing tasks to meet or exceed departmental needs and company objectives.Identify and pull correct parts with a high level of accuracy to meet or exceed customer expectations.Understand and practice safe work habits as per the Safety Policy, and attend regularly scheduled department safety meetings.Open containers, unpack, and examine incoming shipments.Compare identifying information and counts, weigh or measure incoming items to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.Reject damaged items and shortages, store rejected items in designated areas.Record amounts of parts received or distributed.Route items to various departments and buildings.Schedule the pick-up of materials with other departments and buildings.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins in predetermined locations.Receive part orders and verify correct information per order.Use a computer system to locate and pull correct parts.Pick customer orders from stock.Transport orders to packing stations using powered industrial trucks or hand trucks and pallet jacks.Label materials with identifying information including part number and quantity.Verify smaller containers with correct part number when parts are pulled from bins.Reject and take appropriate action for inconsistencies between order placed and parts stocked/pulled.Confirm order contains correct part numbers and quantity to match transfer documentation.Sort orders as necessary for correct priority.Verify correct parts pulled according to packing slip.Assure parts are identified/identifiable as they are placed into boxes.Accurately fill out packing slip.Box parts appropriately, pack items with cushioning materials for shipping, and seal box using automatic tape and packing machines.Determine proper carrier for shipping, based on packing slip and/or size of order.Weigh box, enter information into scale, place carrier-shipping label on box, and put box into appropriate shipping bin.Complete paperwork, including verification of parts shipped, and shipment type.File daily reports in appropriate places.Responsible for shipping parts internationally using proper paperwork.Accurately use barcode equipment to track shipments.Enter packing slip shipping information into the computer, adding freight costs as appropriate.Keep area neat and organized, stocked with supplies.Perform other duties as required by the position.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or GED.Minimum one year of shipping experience.Proficiency in warehouse operations and order picking.Ability to work in fast-paced environments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in manufacturing is helpful.Ability to pick orders at a fast pace.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work is performed indoors in a heated modern factory space with ambient temperatures ranging from 50°F to 90°F, depending on the season. The work area is clean and free from wet, slippery conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodinville, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
