Job Description

As an Order Entry Specialist, you will communicate across a diverse range of customers and collaborate internally with the Purchasing, Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Accounting Departments. You will maintain close working relationships with warehouse and freight carrier contacts to ensure smooth order processing. Contributing positively to a team environment, you will provide backup support for other Customer Service Representatives when necessary. Your role involves receiving a high volume of incoming orders via telephone, email, and fax, accurately inputting order details into a complex business system (SAP), and following up on customer requests in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with customers and internal departments.Maintain close relationships with warehouse and freight carrier contacts.Provide backup support to team members as needed.Receive and input a high volume of incoming orders into SAP.Respond to customer inquiries about product availability, order status, and other requests.Reconcile purchase order and order discrepancies promptly.Run and review reports daily and upon request.Contribute to special projects and develop efficient processes.Work closely with Account Managers on customer updates and queries.Handle a book of business involving 200-250 customers.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience.High school diploma or equivalent.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; SAP experience preferred.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, multitask, and solve problems.Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Professional phone demeanor.Ability to use basic Excel formulas (SUM, AVG, etc.).

Work Environment

This position is based in a corporate environment with individual cubicles, requiring interaction with Product Managers. The work hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The company offers a great work environment and culture, with potential for yearly bonuses and merit-based pay increases.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.08 - $23.08/hr.
