Overview

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be part of the ICE Bonds Database Dev/DBA team with a focus on design, development, performance tuning, analysis, implementation, and support in a fast paced and vibrant environment. This role requires strong technical, analytical and organizational skills. You will be responsible for ongoing software development for a business line, interfacing with users and management in the planning of major functionality, analyzing business functional requirements to determine the scope of work, evaluating available application alternatives to support business needs, and managing resource planning/constraints. Discretion and independent judgment are required on a daily basis.

 

Responsibilities

Deep knowledge of Oracle databaseConduct PL/SQL or SQL development to solve business problemGood knowledge of Unix shell programmingWorking knowledge in Python programmingConduct database administrative work to support for production systemAbility to work under pressure and excellent problem-solving skillsProvide support for QA and Development systems.Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize database systemsTeam player with good attitudeWeekend on call participation

Knowledge and Experience

5+ years of experience in Oracle database developmentExtensive knowledge on developing database applications in PL/SQL-Triggers, Packages, Functions, Procedures, Complex SQL, Oracle Collection, Object Types knowledge and experience2+ years of experience in Unix shell programmingRAC experience is a plusSome Python and Perl programming experienceExperience with managing and troubleshooting databases in high performance, multi-user applicationsSQL Query tuning using different tools. Clear understanding of query planExcellent problem solving, issue identification, analytical and technical documentation skillsProfessionalism, positive outlook, respect and courtesy to customers and all associates and excellent team playerStrong written and verbal communication skillUnderstand SDLC process and tools, agile program management concepts and version control
