Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

We are seeking an experienced oracle database administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize oracle database environments hosted on AWS. The role focuses on database performance, stability, patching, and incident management, ensuring high availability and reliability of critical systems. Key Responsibilities Monitoring & Performance

. Monitor database health, capacity and performance including CPU, Memory, I/O, and storage

. Perform SQL tuning, index optimization, and execution plan analysis.

. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, locking, and contention issues

. Implement proactive monitoring and ing using AWS CloudWatch and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

Patching & Upgrades

. Plan and execute oracle patching and version updates

. Proactively identify compatibility and dependency issues prior to upgrades

. Coordinate with development teams to resolve upgrade-related issues

. Validate database stability and performance following upgrades

Incident & Problem Management

. Provide L2/L3 support for database related incidents

. Troubleshoot database availability, performance, and stability issues

. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures

Technical Skills & Experience

Essential Skills

. Strong experience as an Oracle DBA supporting Oracle 19c and above

. Hands-on experience with Oracle databases on AWS RDS

. Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and internals

. Solid knowledge of backup and recovery concepts

. Proven experience in performance tuning AWR, ADDM, and SQL tuning techniques

. Experience with AWS services including RDS, EC2(Basic), CloudWatch, IAM, and S3

. Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills

Desirable Skills

. Experience with automation or scripting

. Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery architectures

. Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments
