About this role


The Finance Platform Strategies (FPS) team drives global transformation by optimizing Finance operating models and delivering scalable solutions. FPS connects key resources and functional specialists to implement and enhance platforms and processes that support both new initiatives and ongoing improvements. Team members act as internal change management consultants, leveraging BlackRock’s people, processes, and technology to turn concepts into reality.

Team Overview

The Finance Platform Strategies (FPS) team drives global Finance transformation by leading high-impact projects and optimizing critical operating platforms. With a global footprint, FPS partners with cross-functional leaders to deliver scalable solutions that advance Finance objectives—regionally and globally. The team ensures seamless project execution, from requirements gathering to solution delivery, and maintains robust, efficient platforms supporting Finance operations. FPS also proactively identifies and resolves complex issues, ensuring our technology ecosystem—including Oracle Cloud Financials, Coupa, Concur, and BlackRock Aladdin—remains resilient, well-controlled, and aligned with business needs. Through strong collaboration, clear communication, and a focus on results, FPS accelerates Finance innovation and operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities

Role involves clear & detailed business requirements documentation, design, and delivery of effective solutions, and provide ongoing support and oversight of the Finance ecosystem and our critical processes. Candidates should have a passion for technology, business analysis, as well as experience developing and driving strategic initiatives, process enhancements and automation gains.  Responsibilities include:

Engaging constructively with teams whose members can represent a wide range of BlackRock functional groups across regions 

Requirement and design analysis, application configuration, testing, defect analysis & support & maintenance of Cloud ERP modules: Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), Project & Cost Accounting (PA), Cash Management (CM), General Ledger (GL)

Understand corporate operating procedures, identify functional gaps and work with Finance leadership to close such gaps 

Contribute domain expertise to a diverse range of projects

Ensure key executives, platform and project partners are kept informed and engaged

Build consensus in support of business projects through presentation of clear business use case analysis

Deliver ongoing end-user training

Critical Skills 

Minimum three years of combined experience in Oracle e-Business Suite Financials or Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials ERP & EPM modules with focus on business analysis, configuration, and operational process design

Functional expertise in application configuration & design in core Oracle Fusion modules such as Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Projects, Cash management and General Ledger

Experience working with Coupa Spend Management System, SAP Concur Travel & Expense Management System and/or Cognos Analytics a plus

Demonstrated experience with Procure-to-Pay process.

Business analysis & SDLC experience

Understanding of relational database concepts (including SQL) and OLAP technology

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications 

Experience working with global project teams spread across time zones

Strong Knowledge of Finance and Accounting Principles

Superior organizational skills; ability to multi-task and flex with changing priorities

Exposure to asset management industry with focus on end-to-end expense management is a definite plus.

Technical skills in programming languages such as Python and usage of API platforms (such as postman etc.) is preferred
