Oracle Cerner Application Support Specialist (1st Level)
CTG is seeking Oracle Cerner Application Support Specialists (1st Level) to join our team. The Oracle Cerner Application Support Specialist (1st Level) provides frontline support for end users across clinical, operational, and administrative departments. This role is responsible for triaging issues, resolving routine application problems, maintaining user access, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operation of Oracle Cerner applications. The specialist collaborates with internal teams and escalates complex issues to higher‑level analysts or technical teams as needed. Key Responsibilities Frontline Application Support Serve as the first point of contact for Cerner‑related issues, requests, and inquiries. Troubleshoot and resolve routine application problems, escalating more complex issues to Level 2/3 teams. Document all incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the ticketing system with accuracy and clarity. Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to end users. User & Provider Account Support Assist with user and provider account setup, updates, and terminations, following established security and access protocols. Support password resets, role changes, and basic access troubleshooting. Ensure timely processing of access requests and compliance with organizational policies. System Navigation & Workflow Assistance Guide users through Cerner workflows, navigation, and basic functionality. Support common tasks such as order entry, documentation workflows, scheduling, and chart review. Provide quick‑reference instructions or job aids when appropriate. Issue Triage & Escalation Identify whether issues are user‑related, workflow‑related, or system‑related. Gather required details (screenshots, steps to reproduce, user impact) before escalating. Route tickets to the appropriate application, technical, or infrastructure teams when needed. Monitoring & Maintenance Support Perform routine checks on application status dashboards, queues, and basic system indicators. Assist with monitoring scheduled jobs, message queues, and interface alerts as directed by senior analysts. Support minor maintenance tasks under guidance, such as verifying file uploads or confirming system availability. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with clinical and operational teams to understand issues and provide timely support. Communicate system outages, planned downtime, or known issues to end users as directed. Participate in team huddles, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and process improvement discussions. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience supporting Oracle Cerner applications in a healthcare or IT support environment. Strong understanding of basic Cerner workflows, including: User access and security Navigation and documentation Order entry and clinical workflows Scheduling and patient access workflows Excellent customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately. Strong attention to detail and ability to document issues clearly. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
