About the job:

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly committed and technically skilled IT Infrastructure & Support professional to join our Shanghai Branch. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering first-class technical support and ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Operations

Provide 1st line technical support for CIB applications, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve IT incidents and service requests in a timely manner to minimize disruption.

Infrastructure Management

Assist in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, databases, end-user devices).

Support execution of system upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal business impact.

Maintain accurate inventories for all hardware, ensuring proper lifecycle management.

Collaboration & Coordination

Work closely with IT teams in Asia Hub (Hong Kong) and global IT departments to support regional and global initiatives.

Coordinate with business units and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.

Support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of regulatory reporting systems for the branch, ensuring alignment with requirements from local regulators (e.g., NFRA, PBOC, SAFE)

Compliance & Governance

Ensure systems comply with all BBVA security policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Contribute to the planning and execution of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) drills and ensure documentation is kept up to date.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of networking, servers, storage, databases, and cybersecurity fundamentals. 

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a customer-centric approach.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL, CCNA or other relevant certifications.

Global Experience: Prior experience working in a global organization with diverse stakeholders.
