Job Summary:   The Ophthalmic Assistant performs a variety of clinical duties necessary to the daily operations of the Eye Center. Primary duties include, but are not limited to conducting the patient intake process concerning chief complaint, medical history, and medication reconciliation; performing a variety of ophthalmic tests and measurements in preparation of the provider's assessment; and maintaining infection control standards by sterilizing surgical instruments and cleaning the equipment and exam rooms regularly.   Requirements:    1. High School diploma or GED required  2. Ophthalmic Certification (COA/COT) preferred  3. Previous experience in the ophthalmic/optometric field preferred but not required  4. Basic knowledge of the use and operation of general office equipment
