Job Title: Operator Trainee

Job Description

Join our team as an Operator Trainee in the production department, where you will play a crucial role in handling and processing medical products and devices. Your main tasks will include retrieving products based on work order sheets, loading and unloading packages onto and from a conveyor belt, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for sterilization.

Responsibilities

Retrieve product type and quantities listed on work order sheets.Load and unload packages onto and from a larger-than-usual conveyor belt.Operate on the loading side by unwrapping pallets and placing products on the conveyor belt.Input orders into a computer to display placement images for tote filling.Ensure filled totes are sent for sterilization.Operate on the unloading side by unloading totes, palatalizing sterilized products, and using yellow shrink wrap for identification.Operate a forklift for up to 5% of the day, if required.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.Experience with loading/unloading, machine operation, and warehouse inventory.Troubleshooting and use of hand tools.Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in a physical job.Good attendance record.Team player mentality.Strong effort and willingness to learn.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and organized warehouse with a 12-hour rotating schedule. Week 1 includes working on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, while Week 2 includes Wednesday and Thursday. Shifts are from 9 pm to 9 am or 9 am to 9 pm. Although the warehouse may get hot during summer months, radiation is administered safely to containers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.87/hr.
