Operator Trainee
**Job Title: Operator Trainee** **Job Description** Join our team as an Operator Trainee where you will assist operators in the production of tubes and pipes utilized in the oil and gas industry. Your role will involve attention to detail and support across various areas of the warehouse, acting as a helper to the extrusion machine operators. You will be responsible for loading and unloading the machine, as well as monitoring operations to ensure proper production. **Responsibilities** + Monitor and track the use of raw materials as per specifications. + Report production issues, problems, and non-conformities to the Crew Leader. + Coordinate closely with Crew Leaders to avoid disruptions in the production schedule. + Set up machines according to specifications in the production work order. + Ensure product dimensions meet engineering specifications as outlined on production run sheets. + Adhere to 5S practices: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. + Maintain and operate hand tools as necessary. + Calibrate extruder dies as needed. + Document all process parameters and raw material consumption for future reference. + Understand and read calipers, Pi Tapes, and measuring tapes. + Follow production performance goals, efficiencies, and KPIs. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of manufacturing experience. + Experience with plastics is a plus. + Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day. + Capability to meet daily production goals and follow instructions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as an extrusion/compression/injection molding operator is ideal. + A positive attitude and good personality. **Why Work Here?** Be part of a team that values collaboration and efficiency. This is a non-climate-controlled environment. Shift options include 2nd shift from 3am to 11:30pm and 3rd shift from 11pm to 7:30am, with potential for overtime as production increases. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $14.00/hr.
