Job Title: Operator I
Job Description

This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, you will perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. Routine assignments will follow specified and standardized procedures, with work being closely and continually reviewed. You'll ensure relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.

ResponsibilitiesPerform assembly, repair, and test operations on medical devices.Maintain accurate records to ensure quality documents and parts traceability.Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions effectively to all levels of manufacturing management.Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices.Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes.Support divisional initiatives and comply with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.Prioritize work by sequencing and timing jobs based on precedence and importance.Handle and maneuver small components and parts.Participate in setting and monitoring individual goals and cell performance metrics.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with production and hand tools.Understanding of electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment requires adherence to strict dress codes: Clothing must be non-shedding and free of loose threads. Sweaters, loose knit, or fleece garments are not allowed. All clothing from the waist up must fit under the lab coat/gown. Shoes must be worn at all times in the production area, with specific restrictions on heel height and design. The production area prohibits nail polish, makeup, and jewelry that could interfere with safety or product quality. The environment is structured to maintain high safety and cleanliness standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Westford, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
