**Job Description** Candidates will be working as a Cut to Length Operator is responsible for setting up and running equipment that cuts materials to precise measurements. The role involves reading and understanding required dimensions, aligning cutting knives correctly, and adjusting machine settings to ensure accurate cuts. Operators also monitor the machine during production, follow computer‑based quality notes, and check finished materials to confirm they meet standards. SHIFT: 2nd 3PM - 1AM -- M-F with an 8 hour shift on Saturday from 1PM - 8PM 15 minute & 30 minute break Paid Working about 17 hours of OT / week **Additional Skills & Qualifications** Must Haves: 1. Must have 1-2 years of Steel working environment a). They will be cutting bars instead of blanks b). Must be able to process equipment including - Coil cars, turnstiles... 2. Must be able to conduct quality tool checks a). They will be using gauges/micrometers/calipers and reporting any quality errors/concerns. b). Gear head mindset 3. Must have some sort of understanding of different grades of steel a). Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Tool Steel, etc. **Experience Level** Entry Level **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelby, MI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
