Job Description

The Operator is responsible for the efficient operation and repair of production equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety compliance.

ResponsibilitiesOperate production machines and equipment to achieve maximum efficiency.Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform change-overs on machines.Maintain all guards, shields, and safety functions in proper working condition.Complete accurate and thorough records, including machine reports and production reports.Organize and store spare equipment and department supplies appropriately.Mix resins, color concentrates, and supplies to supply machines with correct material mixtures.Ensure machines are running the correct materials and maintain cleanliness and organization.Sort, clean, and control rejected products to maximize reuse and minimize loss.Prepare and deliver finished products to storage locations according to instructions.Address minor product defects by removing flash and extraneous pieces from bottles.Perform on-line visual inspections and quality testing, rejecting non-conforming products.Pack bottles according to instructions and keep pace with product flow.Minimize bottle rejection due to machine or process problems.Maintain a clean and organized work area, reprocess rejected products as needed.Fill in as team leader when necessary and perform other assigned duties.Essential SkillsProficiency in machine operation, setup, and changeover.Experience in troubleshooting machinery.Knowledge of extrusion and injection molding processes.Ability to read blueprints and perform inspections.Mechanical aptitude for repair and maintenance.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-3 years of experience in machine operating.Experience in setups and changeovers.Experience in plastic field is a plus.High level of mechanical aptitude.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract position based out of Hebron, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $23.50/hr.
