Operations Team Leader

Our client, a leader in the Laboratory Chemicals industry, is seeking an Operations Team Leader to join their team. As an Operations Team Leader, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations supporting the Repacking Department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Operations Team Leader
**Location: Haverhill, MA**
**Pay Range:** $25 to $35 per hour
**Duration:** 12 month contract
**Hours:** 6:00am - 2:30pm shift
**What's the Job?**
+ Supervise the daily operations of the chemical repacking department to ensure production plans are met on time and within quality standards.
+ Drive performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity across the team.
+ Collaborate with planning, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve issues and optimize workflows.
+ Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and conduct daily safety checks.
+ Lead investigations into quality non-conformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
**What's Needed?**
+ 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environments.
+ Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and motivating staff.
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies (Green Belt certification preferred).
+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle hazardous chemicals safely.
