Operations Supervisor - Vernon, CA
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day production activities while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets are met. This role directly supervises frontline employees, drives continuous improvement, and ensures operational discipline through standard work, accountability, and strong team engagement.
The Operations Supervisor is expected to lead by example, reinforce a safety-first culture, and execute against site KPIs including SQDPG, OEE, yield, and labor efficiency.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on our Night shift working Sunday - Wednesday 4:30pm - 4:30am. Flexibility for additional coverage outside of these hours, including potential weekends and/or holidays, is also required as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance
Lead with safety as the top priority; enforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirementsConduct regular safety walks, audits, and incident investigationsEnsure near-misses, injuries, and unsafe conditions are reported and addressed immediatelySupport training and certification requirements (LOTO, forklift, confined space, etc.)Quality
Ensure products meet all quality and food safety standardsEnforce adherence to SOPs, centerlines, and quality checksLead root cause analysis for quality defects and implement corrective actionsPartner with Quality to drive zero-defect mindsetOperations & Performance
Execute daily production plans to meet volume, efficiency, and cost targetsMonitor and drive performance metrics (OEE, downtime, yield, labor)Lead daily tier meetings and communicate priorities clearly to the teamRespond to equipment and process issues to minimize downtimeEnsure accurate documentation, reporting, and shift handoffsPeople Leadership
Directly supervise, coach, and develop frontline employeesDrive accountability while maintaining high engagement and moraleManage attendance, performance, and discipline in accordance with company policiesSupport onboarding, training, and cross-training of employeesRecognize and reward positive performance and behaviorsContinuous Improvement

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or operations environmentStrong understanding of safety, quality, and production systemsAbility to lead teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 environmentStrong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with production metrics and basic computer systemsPreferred
Experience with Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement toolsBeverage, food, or CPG manufacturing experienceExperience leading shift teams and managing laborKnowledge of union environments (if applicable)Physical & Work Requirements
