JOB SUMMARY: The Operations Supervisor shall carry out all assigned production functions within their area(s) while establishing and maintaining a culture that embraces continuous improvement, cycle time and waste reduction, lean manufacturing techniques, quality, safety, and employee involvement. The supervisor shall provide coaching and training to their team regarding quality, environmental, and safety policies, procedures, and work instructions. This shall include identifying the training needs of their team and developing the training methods, materials, and schedules; and report training, and team member qualifications as required. This position has the responsibility of identifying and meeting production requirements, developing and implementing daily production schedules based on customer orders, and maintaining a culture of quality and safety while following all applicable laws, policies, and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

•\tMeet established requirements for production, i.e., making the product to customer specifications, and meeting scheduled shipping dates.

•\tMeet established quality goals and standards.

•\tAlways ensure all personnel practice safe work habits.

•\tMaintain 5S standards in his/her area of direct responsibility.

•\tProvide leadership and direction to employees under his/her direct responsibility.

•\tWork with the management team on customer complaints, quality issues, Non-conformance issues, process control, continuous improvement, Kaizen activities, and all policies and requirements of the governing version of current ISO standards.

•\tOversee the flow of product through his/her area of responsibility.

•\tEmbrace lean manufacturing techniques and work closely to implement such changes on a timely basis.

•\tSupervisory responsibility includes management of employee performance, hiring participation, time and attendance administration, discipline, development and resource planning.

•\tDevelop, analyze, and present monthly reports, including but not limited to forecasts, productivity, and safety.

Relationships and Authority:

This position does have supervisory authority.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

Manufacturing plant and professional office environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required/Preferred

1.\tMinimum of five years of manufacturing and/or supervisory experience

2.\tAssociate degree in related field or equivalent experience.

3.\tMachining (including CNC) experience and knowledge.

4.\tBasic Microsoft Office utilization skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

5.\tBasic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Assembly principles.

6.\tWorking knowledge of root cause analysis tools

7.\tDemonstrated effective communication skills.

8.\tDemonstrated leadership skills.

9.\tDemonstrated ability to work effectively with team members.

10.\tHydraulic experience is a plus but not necessary.

11.\tUnderstanding “Value Stream” methodology to improve all processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
