Operations Specialist
**Role Summary** We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to oversee shop floor activity within an industrial gas turbine manufacturing environment. This individual leads daily operations, production planning, personnel coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing activities. The role requires expertise in mechanical manufacturing, welding, machining, and lean principles, with a proven track record in managing high-output, fast-paced environments. **Key Responsibilities** + Take full ownership of shop floor operations focused on the production and assembly of industrial gas turbine components + Manage production scheduling, workforce coordination, and prioritization of manufacturing tasks + Coordinate logistics and transportation for turbine components and related materials + Direct and monitor daily tasks through production leads + Respond to customer support needs related to production timelines or product quality + Oversee tooling setup, safety standards, and process flow improvement + Facilitate and lead production meetings to align department activities and goals + Serve as the communication hub among: + Production + Purchasing + Quality Assurance + Engineering + Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) + Facilities **Skills and Expertise** **Area** **Required Proficiency** Mechanical ManufacturingWelding, machining, tooling, and shop floor supervision Lean ProductionApplication of lean principles and special process management Production AgilityExecution across multiple processes and product lines in high-output environments CommunicationClear and effective interaction with teams and external partners Software ToolsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, willingness to train on Epicor ERP Team CollaborationStrong ability to support cross-functional projects and work harmoniously with others **Ideal Traits** + Expertise with gas turbine parts, assemblies, and manufacturing techniques + Ability to lead in a fast-paced, multitasking production setting + Strong leadership in promoting safety, quality, and lean efficiency + Detail-driven and solutions-focused in day-to-day operations **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $34.62 - $42.31/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
