Operations Senior Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Operations Senior Manager. Lead the end‑to‑end servicing, administration, and operational governance of a complex syndicated loan portfolio (Agented or participant portfolio). As the day‑to‑day Administrative/Facility Agent /Portfolio participant , you’ll ensure precise & timely transaction processing  (interest/principal/fees), covenant and compliance tracking, lender communications, amendments/consents, and accurate booking in loan servicing platforms ( Loan IQ). You’ll drive control, efficiency, and market‑aligned practices (ARRC/LMA/LSTA conventions) across the servicing lifecycle.

In this role , you will oversee interest, principal, and fee calculations, billing, collection, and distribution—aligning with credit agreement mechanics and benchmark conventions (e.g., SOFR daily simple/compounded, lookback, day‑count).

Implement robust reconciliation (custodial/agency accounts, lender positions) and ensure on‑time postings to bank systems.


In this role, you will:

Manage and develop large Loan Production, Loan Servicing, and Commercial or Real Estate Construction Loan teams responsible for loan processing, documentation, pre-closing or closing tasks, loan monitoring, loan servicing, or underwriting activitiesEngage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers associated with the Lending Operations functional areaIdentify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Lending Operations functional areaParticipate in the formulation and implementation of new and revised systems, policies, and guidelinesOversee implementation of practices to ensure compliance with Wells Fargo legal, investor, regulatory, or business policiesDetermine appropriate strategies and actions of Lending Operations team to meet moderate to high risk deliverablesInterpret and develop policies and procedures for meeting compliance, risk management, and quality standardsCollaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including experienced managersInteract with external customers throughout the conducting of loan processing and liquidations evaluationProvide quality customer serviceManage allocation of people and financial resources for Lending OperationsDevelop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy


Required Qualifications:

6+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years of management or leadership experience

Hands‑on expertise with Loan IQ (deal setup, accruals, loan servicing, agency cash flows, and reporting.Stakeholder Management: Clear, timely communication across borrowers, lenders, counsel, and internal partners; ability to negotiate practical solutions.Analytical & Systems Fluency: Advanced operational analytics, break analysis, and data quality disciplineChange Leadership: Drive benchmark transition readiness and process transformation aligned to market best practiceBreaks & Exceptions: Aged reconciliation breaks resolved within SLA; documentation exceptions cleared within agreed timelines.Operational Efficiency: Cycle‑time reductions and automation gains in line with Loan IQ best‑practice benchmarksLeadership & Team Management: Experienced in identifying & grooming talent, mentoring teams and driving operational excellence.Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills for borrower/agent banks, lender, and internal coordination.Process Improvement: Ability to lead automation and transformation initiatives.

Job Expectations:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
