ITA is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join the team in a hybrid position at the Pentagon.
Please note this position is contingent upon successful contract award, expected late Spring 2025.
Responsibilities Join a growing company to support the Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) on analytic, modeling, and simulation capabilities covering predictive, prescriptive, diagnostic, or descriptive analytics methods in order to optimize command performance. A Journeyman Operations Research Analyst uses advanced techniques, such as optimization, simulation, data mining, statistical analysis, regression, and mathematical modeling to develop solutions to help organizations operate more efficiently and cost-effectively. Perform analysis applying appropriate scientific processes and modeling techniquesConduct research initiatives and contributing to data analysis initiativesinterpret information that may assist management with decision making and/or policy formulationDevelop concepts for technical solutions to support a rapid, software development processPerform analysis on current and projected operations to identify opportunities to improve performance and/or reduce costDesign, develop, and apply a variety of decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, modeling and simulation, and other analytic methods combined with judgment to solve complex operational and planning challengesDevelop prototype models/simulationsModify and enhance existing analytic productsAssist in concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, and implementation of models/simulations informing decisions regarding operations, cost efficiencies, quality control, system performance, etc. Assess the problem and identify appropriate analytic method to address it (e.g., Monte Carlo simulation, discrete event simulation, optimization, decision analysis, statistical analysis, etc.) Assist in the development of assessment information, decision briefings, and analytical papers, and facilitate senior leadership decisionsEffectively brief both internal and external stakeholdersPresent information into meaningful reports and presentation material. Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Management Science, or a related field.4-10 years of experience in conducting analyses of management and operational problems using Operations Research techniques is required.A Secret Security Clearance
