Operations Manager - Innovation Centre

Join the Marsh Innovation Centre as an Operations Manager and become a key driver of operational excellence within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. This newly created role offers the opportunity to influence the Centre’s growth and success by optimising processes, managing cross-functional initiatives, and supporting strategic expansion efforts. Reporting directly to the Senior Director and working closely with Innovation Engineering Leadership, you will ensure seamless operations across multiple hubs and innovation squads.

We will rely on you to: 

Financial Management & Reporting

Assist with the expansion and integration of innovation hubs by ensuring the appropriate financial controls are in place such as forecasting, budgeting, tracking of hiring and reporting.Conduct benefits analysis of Innovation initiatives and provide insightful reports to senior management.Maximise Research & Development (R&D) tax credits and available grants.Deliver comprehensive Management Information (MI) reports for the Innovation Centre Leader & support the preparation and compilation of quarterly board packs.Propose and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the Innovation Centre.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary liaison with FP&A, Controllership, and Tax teams to ensure financial alignment and compliance of the Innovation Centre.Manage internal communications to Innovation Centre staff, ensuring timely and effective information flow.Maintain and update the Innovation Centre SharePoint site to support knowledge sharing and driving awareness.Hold regular induction presentations on the Innovation Centre & create an Innovation Centre directory.Serve as a point of contact for recruitment-related matters, assisting Talent Acquisition and managers, including those overseas, to facilitate hiring processes.

What you need to have:  

Proven experience in operations management, preferably within innovation, technology, or engineering environments.Capable of liaising across multiple teams and stakeholders.Ability to analyse complex data and present actionable insights to senior leadership.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

What makes you stand out: 

Strong strategic planning and forecasting skills with a track record of managing multi-location operations.Experience working with financial models, chargeback systems, and budget management.Familiarity with R&D tax credit processes.Proficient in project management tools.
