Operations Manager

We are currently recruiting for the role of Operations Manager based in Ahmedabad, India.

The primary responsibility of the Operations Manager would be to manage, plan and direct all day to day operational aspect of visa processing, tours, transport, and airport base operations under the supervision of Manager Operations and Customer Delivery. Manage and ensure smooth running of the Operations unit of Discover Qatar (DQ) with the objective of providing high quality operational service to the customers whilst ensuring safety standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

·       Develop in consultation with Manager Operations and Customer Delivery, departmental procedures to ensure a ‘best practice’ approach for any new situations that may arise operationally. Ensures the consistent delivery of customer and ensure adherence to the industry leading service levels.

·       Review departmental procedures and practices and make recommendations on performance improvements to the Manager Operations and Customer Delivery. Establish best in class SLA’s to support efficient and effective internal relationships.

·       Oversee and manage the visa processing, transport and Airport base daily operations, DQ fleet management system.

·       Ensure operational expenses are as per set budgets. Responsible for implementing strategic initiatives to generate and exceed the assigned revenue target.

·       Investigate client complaints and follow up with supllies and staff where necessary to minimize loss of earnings through service recovery. Liaise with groups and MICE, reservations, supervisors’ airport base, guest services to co-ordinate transport requirements and ensure client specifications are fully met. Escalate cases to the Management where quality objectives are not met or corrective action cannot be agreed upon.

·       Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

·       Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.

·       Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.

·       Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

·       Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.

·       To be committed and contribute to the National talent development, by coaching the national developees, preparing them for a career with boundless potential. Leading to the program’s continued growth and success.
