**Role Summary:**
The Operations Engineer is responsible for managing fulfillment and engineering projects related to new client launches, capital investments, and cost savings opportunities. This position requires strong engineering and project management skills. This role involves intermittent travel while supporting multiple projects at one, or more, of our fulfillment centers across North America.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage and assist with new fulfillment center launches. Support overall facility design exercises, manage new system and equipment installations, ensure safe and cost-efficient procedures are followed throughout the project duration.
+ Develop and manage project plans and milestones for various fulfillment related projects - client requests, capacity enhancements, automation testing and implementations, hardware/software changes, etc.
+ Manage and assist with new client launches. Support the design of storage and processing areas, develop new workflows and procedures, work closely with vendors to procure equipment, and manage any required build-out or construction within the facility.
+ Partner with MHE vendors and internal resources to obtain quotes to support new initiatives, develop recommendations for selected vendors, develop CapEx proposal for finance approval, and manage CapEx spending for approved projects.
+ Work with the Warehouse Management (WMS) team to develop the optimal system design and configuration for the operations team.
+ Perform detailed analysis on new clients to compare productivity, accuracy, and overall performance to new client business models.
+ Assist with operational and financial forecasting, staffing, productivities, capital expenditures, justifications, improvement analyses, etc.
+ Perform detailed studies on launched new partners to compare accuracy to models.
+ Statistical analysis and reporting on client profitability and overall contribution to Radial.
+ Design and modify layouts in AutoCAD as part of new business solutions and implementations.
+ Support the sales process by participating in pre-signature activities, including participating in joint planning sessions with the client to align operational / facility scope.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.
+ Minimum of at least 3 years of of fulfillment engineering and project management experience within a distribution/warehousing environment required.
+ Proven experience managing large, complex, cross-functional development and implementation programs to deliver solutions across multiple project teams and organizational units
+ Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products with a strong emphasis in Excel, Powerpoint and Smartsheets
+ AutoCAD proficiency required.
+ WMS and SQL experience desired.
+ MOST modeling experience.
+ Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen experience desired.
+ Experience in standardizing work, building procedures and improving performance on repeatable business processes
+ Effective oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
+ Strong business acumen particularly in order fulfillment and/or distribution environments.
+ Attention to detail.
**Travel:**
+ This position is remote.
+ Regional travel is required for this role (approximately 50%) by land and/or air
