Operations Engineer, NA Engineering, Last Mile
Description Amazon is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented engineering leader to drive and influence the evolution of Amazon's global Delivery Station network through next-generation process and design solutions. This role will be instrumental in driving technical and business strategy for transforming our delivery infrastructure from manual to automated operations while optimizing safety, efficiency, and sustainability. A successful candidate will have an established background in tackling complex technological transformation with unparallel problem-solving ability, excellent project and stakeholder management skills, and an internal motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment. Key job responsibilities • Analyze operational inefficiencies and build mechanisms to drive effective process and design change strategies • Support development of Master Operating Plans (MOPs), standard work and metrics • Reverse Engineer current processes and designs, provide change management solutions to partner engineering teams • Lead and coordinate design and process innovation efforts with the functional leaders to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment and transportation network. • Drive strong cross functional alignment to drive standardization, integration across network and establish a robust prioritization framework across all engineering teams. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Construction, and Transportation • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners. • Provide technical leadership for medium-scale engineering projects • Effectively communicate the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior managers. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - 3+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience - 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience - 3+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level - Experience working with and managing third party vendors - Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing - Master's degree Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $126,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
