We are looking for motivated University students to join our Operations team as Operations Controllers for a 3-month work placement over the busy summer period. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real exposure to aviation operations and the delivery of charter flights
Job DescriptionThe purpose of this 3-month placement is to assist the Operations team during their busiest period of the year, the summer! As an Operations Controller, students will gain a real understanding of how charter flights are coordinated and managed in real time. This placement is designed to bridge the gap between academic study and professional employment, offering valuable insight into aviation operations and international logistics while supporting the day-to-day delivery of charter flights.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Supporting the Operations team by assisting brokers with flight watching and live flight monitoringLiaising with Flight Reps, Airport Handlers and OperatorsLiaising with brokers to provide operational updates and supportProviding general administrative support to the Operations teamAccurately entering and maintaining flight information across internal systemsProducing and distributing daily operational reportsManaging and monitoring the shared Operations inbox, ensuring timely responsesMonitoring weather conditions and flagging potential operational impactsSummer Programme Details:
Programme starts in Early/Mid-June through to September (around 12 weeks)Working hours are varied and include weekends and nights, shifts will be allocated on a rota basisThe shift patters are: 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00 (with 1-hour unpaid lunch) on a 3 on 3 off basisTraining provided on siteApplicants must be enrolled in a university programme, returning after summer 2026Office based role based in our Surbiton HQQualificationsInterest in Aviation, Operations, Logistics or International Business is desirableMust be enrolled as a university studentHardworking and flexibleExceptional communication skills, fluency in a second language is an advantageExcellent problem solvingStrong attention to detail and good organisational skillsStrong resilience with the ability to thrive working under pressureMUST live within 45 minutes commute of our Surbiton HQAdditional InformationPaying £25,000pa on a pro rata basisFree onsite gym with classesFree Breakfast and Lunch in our onsite canteen “The Hangar”22 days’ holiday per year (pro rata for fixed term contract)Check us out on social media!
