**Job Title:** Operations Chem Tech – Contract Role **Location:** Loveland, CO **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM **Contract Length:** 3 Months **Pay:** $23–$25/hour **Purpose of Position** The Operations Chem Tech will support the chemistry and technical team by conducting aging and verification studies on products, performing chemical analysis methods, and assisting with laboratory experiments and evaluations. This role is ideal for someone with a solid chemistry background, strong analytical skills, and the ability to follow established protocols while contributing to continuous improvements in operations. **Key Responsibilities** + Follow required safety procedures and laboratory protocols. + Execute protocols, collect data, and perform chemical analyses under the direction of senior technical team members. + Conduct evaluations of chemical product applications and determine feasibility based on academic knowledge and laboratory findings. + Support development and testing of water quality analyzers and instrumentation. + Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks documenting all work performed. + Use initiative to complete recurring tasks independently, while escalating unfamiliar situations to supervisors. + Collaborate with the research team to run laboratory experiments and instrument evaluations. + Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. + Assist with stockroom and general laboratory maintenance as needed. **Qualifications** + **Education:** BA/BS in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field required. + **Experience:** Previous research or laboratory experience strongly preferred. + Solid knowledge of chemistry, analytical techniques, laboratory practices, and chemical principles. + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow protocols accurately. + Self-starter who works independently while also being a reliable team player.
