\t\t\t\t\tWe are seeking experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technical Engineers to support a complex wastewater operations and maintenance consulting project. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in wastewater treatment operations, startup, optimization, and troubleshooting across biological, membrane, thermal, and chemical treatment systems.Key ResponsibilitiesConsultants may be asked to support the project in one or more of the following areas:Operations & Maintenance SupportProvide recommendations for contractors and specialized services required for wastewater operationsReview, update, and develop operating proceduresAttend and contribute to operations and maintenance meetingsDevelop and refine operator rounds and daily monitoring practicesRecommend system performance metrics and monitoring strategiesProcess & Compliance SupportProvide technical support for permit compliance and regulatory requirementsSupport analytical sampling programs, laboratory coordination, and sampling plansReview process trends and recommend operational changes to optimize performanceDevelop mitigation strategies for managing non-compliant influentStartup & CommissioningSupport initial system startup and stabilizationProvide technical guidance for:Biological seeding and BNR startupThermal system startupSCADA changes, tuning, and system optimizationTroubleshooting & OptimizationProvide process, mechanical, and controls troubleshooting supportOptimize chemical usage, system loading, and treatment efficiencySupport system tuning and performance baseliningTechnical Areas of Experience (Any Combination Preferred)Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:Water & Membrane SystemsUF, RO, and MBR loading, flux normalization, profiling, and CIP testingIX resin loading, regeneration optimization, and baseliningWater loop tuning and system performance optimizationChemical SystemsChemical offloading, PRV timing, pump drawdown, and header testingProcess train and dewatering chemical optimizationClarifier blowdown optimization and CaF₂ dosing vs. pH strategiesBiological Nutrient Removal (BNR)BNR seeding plans and executionMLSS, sludge age, and RAS optimizationMicrobial baselining, SDI baselining, and cleaning frequencyFlux rate normalization and performance trackingThermal & Mechanical SystemsEvaporator, crystallizer, plate-and-frame heat exchanger performance baseliningThermal recirculation and vapor compressor vibration baseliningPump vibration baselining and system reliability optimizationInstrumentation, Controls & DataSCADA tuning and optimizationAutomated reporting (e.g., RO flux calculation reports)Instrumentation enhancements and probe additionsQualificationsDemonstrated experience in industrial or advanced wastewater treatment operationsStrong understanding of treatment process fundamentals and system interactionsExperience supporting plant startup, optimization, or troubleshootingAbility to analyze operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendationsExcellent communication skills and ability to work with operators, engineers, and stakeholdersConsultants will provide technical expertise across select project needs—candidates are not expected to have experience in every task listed, but should demonstrate strong working knowledge in several relevant areas.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
