\n\t\t\t\t\tA global leader in life sciences is seeking an Operational Finance Manager to join their team. \n\nThis position is responsible for overseeing all financial forecasting and planning activities within the operations function. The role supports the division’s financial reporting process and leads local finance initiatives related to operations. The Finance Manager conducts economic analyses of operational finances and communicates financial insights to both local and global leadership teams.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\nDevelop and distribute budget guidelines and submission templates for functional leaders.\nEstablish and communicate timelines for budget data submissions and related presentations.\nReview initial budget submissions for accuracy and completeness.\nPrepare and present the annual budget for the operational site.\nCollaborate with regional teams (finance and other functions) to resolve planning and forecasting issues.\nReview and analyze monthly forecast submissions, comparing them to actual results, plans, and prior forecasts.\nProvide consolidated monthly forecast updates to site management.\nPrepare and present financial projections as needed.\nAssist in creating financial reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements.\nCompile monthly reporting packages and provide commentary on site performance.\nOversee the collection, processing, consolidation, and reporting of financial results.\nStay current with changes in reporting standards and accounting practices.\nDevelop and monitor the financial aspects of the site’s strategic plan.\nCommunicate monthly financial results to management and recommend improvements when necessary.\nOrganize and prioritize tasks for the finance team, ensuring high-quality output.\nEvaluate and propose cost reduction opportunities for the site.\nPrepare materials and coordinate meetings with cost committees.\nParticipate in and promote financial initiatives within cost committees.\nConduct cost variance analyses at the site level.\nTrack and report on the progress of savings initiatives.\nSupport management by ensuring compliance and accuracy in regular financial reporting.\nDevelop and report on key financial metrics, assisting in the assessment of business performance.\nSupervise the calculation and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs).\nLead the development and maintenance of financial reporting systems and processes.\nUndertake special financial projects and analyses as assigned.

\n\t\t\t\t\tBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Cost Accounting. \n3+ years of experience in cost accounting/standard costs.\n6–8 years of overall accounting/finance experience.\nCPA, CMA and/or MBA highly preferred.\nExperience managing and developing a team of accounting/finance professionals required. \n\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: \nStrong Cost Accounting and FP&A related skills. \nStrong Inventory Accounting under Standard Cost method and FP&A related skills.\nAbility to report information to different stakeholders and hierarchy levels.\nGood communication and planning skills, change management, results orientation. Strategic thinking.\nAbility to lead a team and work independently in a timely and accurate manner. \nMust understand discounted cash flow analysis, ROI, payback, etc. \nNeed a diverse understanding of accounting areas including cost accounting, distribution, sales & marketing, and R&D. Need detailed knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing. \nNeed an excellent understanding of accounting within a global organization. This includes items such as foreign exchange, inter-company mark-ups, inter-company charges and allocations, and tax issues. \nMust be able to effectively use standard desktop software (Excel, PowerPoint, databases, etc.) as well as fully integrated ERP systems (Oracle Cloud are very welcomed). \nMust be flexible, able to multitask and meet deadlines. \nMust be able to effectively delegate and distribute assignments. \nMust be able to effectively communicate with a diverse group including the Global Finance organization, Senior Management outside of the Finance function, and the Executive Management group. \nMust be able to identify and take ownership of significant issues as they arise. \nMust be able to make concise, effective, and professional presentations to senior management.
