Job Description Day to Day: We are seeking a skilled Operating Engineer to support the efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, and building systems across a large, 24/7 production facility. This is a dynamic role requiring adaptability, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high volume industrial setting. On a daily basis, you’ll have the first half of your day dedicated to true PM responsibilities and the latter half of your day dedicated to breaking down a backlog of corrective work orders. This role requires hands on work in the troubleshooting of HVAC equipment, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, and general building infrastructure in an environment with aging equipment and high production demand. The technician will monitor and adjust systems such as chillers, cooling towers, RTUs, split systems, pumps, motors, and compressors while responding to BMS/BAS alarms, conducting root cause analysis, and maintaining safe work practices. Daily work includes processing Corrigo work orders, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, addressing corrective issues, and partnering with the site’s new preventative maintenance program that encourages collaboration with the end client daily. Key Responsibilities • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot HVAC, chilled water, and mechanical systems including pumps, motors, belts, and air handling units. • Maintain and repair electrical systems including lighting, outlets, breaker strips, and 480/277V & 120/240V circuits. • Perform basic plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, including soldering copper piping and supporting dock levelers/doors. • Process and complete work orders in Corrigo, conduct PM inspections, and respond to BMS/BAS alerts. Skills and Requirements Must Haves: - 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting - Basic understanding of the following: o 480/277V and 120/240V electrical systems, three phase systems o Hydraulic systems, pneumatics, o HVAC systems (chillers, cooling towers, RTUs, ATUs, compressors) Plusses: • Experience with Corrigo or a similar CMMS platform. • Knowledge of TPM, continuous improvement, or reliability based maintenance programs. • Familiarity with older (20+ years) plant equipment or production environments.
