Onsite Clinical Counselor - Employee Assistance Program

Position Summary

Schedule is 10:30am-7:00pm on Tuesdays; 8:30am-5:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.Onsite location: On-Site at New York University – in the office Monday-Thursday and remote on Fridays.Responsible for provision of on-site consultation, counseling and informational services to NYU employees. Counseling sessions are in-person, virtual, or telephonic sessions, 30min or 60min sessions.Provide initial assessment and triage for mental/behavioral health services.Provide short-term individual counseling with a variety of presenting issues including but not limited to mental, emotional, disorders, conditions, addictions, lifestyle management and work life concerns.Provide referral to appropriate treatment or higher level of care based on clinical assessment (i.e. RFL, behavioral health of medical insurance, emergent behavioral health services, and community resources).Provide referrals to, and promote, other support benefits that the company has in place.Ensure RFL benefit coordination for all employees. Be knowledgeable of all EAP offerings.Partner with managers, human relations, and local points of contact to support the needs of the overall employee group at the work site.Conduct workshops, panel discussions and training seminars on health enhancement topics leveraging Aetna approved catalogue and training materials.Support company related events as needed (i.e. health fairs).Provide on-site Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), by conducting group and individual sessions following a traumatic event, as requested and as clinically supportive and appropriate.Offer Management Consultation to NYU managers and members of leadership and assist with any connection needed for employee referrals related to workplace issues.Attend Internal and External Meetings as requested/appropriate with various attendees including onsite clinical manager, clinical onsite team, NYU employees and representatives.  Maintain current licensure in good standing. Seek professional development and meet all licensure requirements in the state of New York.Collaborate with team of professionals in a way that supports a positive clinical outcome and continuity of care for all employee clients.Protect the confidentiality of member information and adhere to enterprise and EAP policies regarding confidentiality.Maintain accurate and complete documentation of required information that meets risk management and regulatory requirements. Submit documentation on a routine, timely basis.


Required Qualifications

Must be a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.Must have Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) training and experience.5+ years of direct clinical experience in a variety of settings.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience working as an On-Site EAP Counselor at a large company/organization within an EAP, Wellness, and/or medical setting.Familiarity working with work related issues.Expertise in workplace related stress within a corporate environment.Strong intercultural expertise, particularly in a corporate environment.Familiarity with workplace violence assessments, prevention and post incident recovery.Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).Ability to work effectively as part of multi‐disciplinary team, working collaboratively with your on‐site resources.Work collaboratively with HR and management team on employee wellness initiatives.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.Ability to deliver trainings to employees in an effective manner.Strong communication (written, verbal) and customer service skills.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Ability to respond to account requests and needs in a timely manner (email, in person, etc.).


Education

Doctorate Degree (PHD or PsyD) required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,575.00 - $142,576.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
