Onboarding and Development Specialist/Telehealth Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Highlights Healthcare ABA is seeking a dynamic and experienced BCBA to lead our onboarding and professional development initiatives for clinical staff. This dual-role position ensures new BCBAs are seamlessly integrated into our clinical culture and receive the support they need to thrive. This role is designed to provide hands-on, structured support for clinicians during onboarding with Highlights Healthcare, and newly certified BCBAs during their first 8 weeks in the field, ensuring they build confidence, clinical fluency, and alignment with our standards of care. You'll serve as both a mentor and clinical guide, helping shape the next generation of behavior analysts in a high-quality, supportive environment. You will also design and implement structured career development programs to promote growth, retention, and clinical excellence across the organization. Job Responsibilities: + Designs, implements, and monitors clinical training programs in collaboration with clinical leadership. + Supports 20 clinical hours per week virtually + Ensures mentees are receiving group supervision and 1:1 supervision with frequency determined with the Director of BCBA Development + Coordinates with Clinical Directors to ensure that mentees are trained in 1:1 supervision + Conducts consistent program reviews to ensure a high degree of clinical excellence for learners, including analysis of progress for skill acquisition and behavior reduction, to ensure appropriate progress is made, maintained and generalized. + Develop and manage a comprehensive onboarding program tailored for new BCBAs. + Facilitate orientation sessions covering clinical policies, ethical guidelines, systems training, and organizational culture. + Act as a mentor and liaison during the onboarding period (typically first 90 days). + Conduct regular check-ins with new hires to assess progress and address any concerns or training needs. + Partner with clinical leadership to identify high-potential clinicians and recommend individualized development plans. + Collaborate with clinical supervisors and HR to ensure consistency in onboarding experiences. + Develop and deliver a structured 8-week onboarding program for newly certified BCBAs, including clinical protocols, ethical decision-making, documentation standards, and clinic operations. + Act as the primary mentor for new BCBAs during their initial transition from trainee to independent clinician. + Facilitate weekly individual and group mentorship sessions focusing on case conceptualization, treatment planning, supervision, and professional confidence-building. + Observe and provide feedback on clinical sessions and team leadership. + Support new BCBAs in mastering data systems, electronic health records, and internal workflows. + Foster a psychologically safe learning environment that encourages reflection, questions, and growth. + Will work with the Director of BCBA Development and student team to lead group study sessions for level 3 students. + Completes other job duties and projects, as assigned. + Maintain knowledge of State and Federal specific laws, Tricare/Governmental programs, Medical Insurance Providers, Medicaid Waiver Programs and ensure compliance with regulations. Qualifications: + Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field. + Active BCBA certification in good standing. + Minimum of 7 years of full-time clinical experience as a BCBA. + Prior experience mentoring BCBAs, BCBA candidates, or RBTs. + Strong knowledge of ABA principles, clinical documentation, and ethical standards. + Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience developing and delivering clinical training or onboarding programs. + Familiarity with clinic-based ABA models and multidisciplinary team collaboration. + Commitment to supporting clinician well-being and long-term growth.
