View Job Description Requirements / QualificationsQualifications, Education and Experience: • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required • Must hold an active license from the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAB) • A minimum of five years of school-based SLP experience highly desired • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship status • Local to Lake County preferred • Fluency in Spanish preferred If Applying as Employee • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential If Applying as Independent Contractor • Must be certified as an NPA by the California Department of Education (CDE) to provide services for students with IEPs Other Requirements • Letter of Introduction and Resume • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation (written within the past 12 months) • Reference Check • Complete Employment History Disclosure (AB 2534 & SB 848): Applicants must provide a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school, state special school, or private K-12 school where they were previously employed • Authorization for Release of Records: Employment is contingent upon the applicant's written authorization for Shade Canyon to contact all prior school employers to inquire about credible complaints, substantiated investigations, or discipline for "egregious misconduct" • Fingerprint Clearance & Criminal Record Check: Must include expanded SB 848 exclusion vetting (prohibiting the hire of any individual convicted of a violent crime or specified sex offenses) • Professional Boundaries & Mandated Reporter Training: Successful candidates must complete annual training on mandated reporting and the school's Professional Boundaries Policy within six weeks of hire • Clear TB Test & CPR/First Aid Certification
