Performs and provides body treatments and massages for spa guests.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and
demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable
accommodation.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must be a Certified Massage Therapist for the State of California and have a permit for the City of La Quinta.
OTHER DUTIES
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by La quinta resort from time to time, is
essential to the successful performance of this position.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties
that have the potential of risk to your health or safety.
GROOMING
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
Hair longer than shoulder length shall be pulled back in a presentable fashion. Uniforms will be provided and
worn by team member.
EXPERIENCE
2 years in massage therapy practice or in resort spa as a therapist preferred.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
