Oliver Wyman - Performance Manager, IMEA - Gurugram or Mumbai

Oliver Wyman is now looking for a Performance Manager to join our growing IMEA Talent Management team!

This role can be based in our Gurugram or Mumbai Office.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Performance Management Team for India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA). The Performance Manager (PM) will be responsible to run all performance management activities in IMEA for all non-affiliated consultants: Core Consulting Group (CCG), Interns and Analysts. The PM will report into the Performance Management Lead and will work in close cooperation and collaboration with the IMEA Talent Management team, as well as other Support Professional (SP) functions, such as HC Operations and Learning & Development (L&D).

The IMEA region covers several countries, and this role would be responsible for providing and initiating performance related data and inputs for population of 350+ consultants.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role requiring strong judgment, analytical capability, and the ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders across multiple geographies. This role is integral to the smooth running of the Performance Management function.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Management Delivery & Advisory

Own the day-to-day delivery of IMEA performance management activities for non-affiliated consultants, including Mid-Year and Year-End review cycles.

Conduct quality assurance of project reviews, ensuring completeness, consistency, and alignment with Oliver Wyman’s competency frameworks and performance standards.

Monitor consultant performance trajectories, identify early warning signals, and proactively flag risks or development needs.

Partner closely with Talent Managers, HC Operations, and leadership to support performance cases (e.g., PIPs, TDPs), ensuring rigor, consistency, and appropriate documentation.

Prepare materials for and actively support performance calibration discussions, ensuring alignment to competency frameworks and regional standards.

Act as a trusted advisor to Talent Managers and talent  leaders on performance outcomes, development actions, and process guidance.

Support the implementation and ongoing evolution of Oliver Wyman’s global performance framework (ADVANCE) across IMEA.

Analytics, Insights & Reporting

Build, maintain, and interpret performance dashboards and reports using internal systems, Tableau, Excel, and related tools.

Analyse performance, utilization, and project review data to identify trends across levels, industries, and geographies.

Translate data into clear, actionable insights for Talent and Leadership teams.

Contribute to regional and global reporting requests with a strong focus on data accuracy and narrative clarity.

Process Excellence & Systems

Coordinate and support IMEA evaluation review cycles, including timelines, communications, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Ensure data integrity and consistent use of systems, templates, and governance standards across the region.

Partner with the Performance Management Lead to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and simplification.

Champion the effective use of tools to enhance decision-making and consultant experience.

Collaboration & Development

Work closely with Learning & Development to translate performance insights into targeted development and coaching interventions.

Support training for reviewers and consultants on effective feedback, review writing, and performance expectations.

Build strong working relationships across Talent Management, HC Operations, Learning & Development (L&D), and the consulting business.

Act as a collaborative, solutions-oriented partner within a global, multicultural team.

Experience Required:

4–7+ years of relevant experience in performance management, people analytics, consulting operations, or HR strategy roles.

Prior experience in management consulting, Big 4 advisory, or multinational professional services environments strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder processes across regions.

Strong analytical capability with the ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights.

Proven ability to foster relationships at all levels of the organization.
