The Office Manager will oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow for both retail and commercial transactions. This role involves leading, training, and supervising staff to maintain a culture of professionalism, accuracy, and high performance. The Office Manager will develop and enforce procedures for efficient order processing and accurate inventory management, while promoting staff well-being and fostering a positive workplace culture.
ResponsibilitiesOversee all daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow for both retail and commercial transactions.Lead, train, and supervise staff, maintaining a culture of professionalism, accuracy, and high performance.Develop and enforce procedures for efficient order processing and accurate inventory management.Schedule and manage staff assignments to ensure adequate coverage for both in-store and commercial support.Act as a key support contact for customers purchasing precast wall systems and related accessories.Work closely with contractors, builders, and commercial clients to ensure their orders are processed accurately and on time.Provide product information, specifications, finishes, and application guidance for both small-scale retail projects and large-scale commercial installations.Assist with preparing quotes, processing orders, and supporting upsell opportunities for accessories and complementary products.Maintain strong relationships with repeat commercial clients to encourage long-term business.Oversee store inventory and commercial stock requirements for precast wall systems and associated products.Manage procurement and timely availability of installation sundries including anchors, bolts, fixings, sealants, adhesives, grouts, wall toppers, anti-climb devices, paints, coatings, anti-graffiti products, gates, hinges, and locking mechanisms.Track usage trends, anticipate demand, and coordinate restocking to prevent delays in commercial projects.Ensure all operations comply with workplace health and safety regulations.Conduct regular safety checks for store, warehouse, and office areas.Promote a safety-first culture across all teams.Train staff on safe handling of materials, tools, and installation products.Oversee all administrative functions, including retail transactions, commercial order processing, and project documentation.Process payments across multiple platforms (cash, card, online) and reconcile daily sales.Manage petty cash, track expenses, and ensure accurate financial records.Generate weekly operational reports for leadership review.Essential SkillsOffice ManagementAdministrationBasic AccountingAdmin Duties3+ years of experience in commercial operations management1+ years of experience with Office applicationsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a dual retail and commercial sales environmentOSHA safety awareness certification (or willingness to obtain)Familiarity with logistics and supply chain coordination for large construction projectsKnowledge of security features and specialized finishes for precast wallsWork EnvironmentThis position is in-office, with hours from 8 to 5.
