Duties Description Reporting to the Park Director’s Admin, this Office Assistant 1, provides support to the Park Director, Assistant Park Director, and the Director of Operations. They will perform entry-level clerical and office support work to assist park administration and operations. Duties will be performed in accordance with Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) policies and procedures.Duties include, but are not limited to:• Maintaining records and files; retrieving, compiling, and organizing information.• Data entry, basic arithmetic calculations, and document preparation.• Preparing correspondence, reports, forms, and PowerPoint presentations.• Answering telephones and providing customer service to staff and the public.• Assisting with preparation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.• Mailing, supply ordering, and inventory control.• Assisting with payroll processing and answering basic payroll-related questions.• Reviewing payroll and human resources-related documents for completeness.• Providing administrative support for park and region-wide events.• Assisting with Parkwide and other park-related regional projects as assigned.• Other related duties as required.

ADDITIONAL SCHEDULE INFORMATION:Duties may vary based on operational needs and seasonal demands. The candidate must be flexible and willing to assist with park and regional events as required.LOCATION PAY:The hiring rate will be the sum of the statutory hiring rate for CSEA Grade 6 ($36,232) and the Downstate Adjustment ($4,000). The job rate will be the sum of the statutory job rate ($44,828) and the Downstate Adjustment ($4,000).ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The CSEA contracts allow for salary protection for seasonal / hourly employees who are appointed to permanent graded positions with lower hiring rates under certain circumstances. We encourage OPRHP seasonal / hourly applicants to check in with your Regional Business Office Administrator to inquire about the potential impact on your salary.
