MSOP Moose Lake site serves clients in the earlier stages of treatment in a secure setting.** **The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is seeking an individual to join our team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as an Office and Administrative Specialist, Senior for our Moose Lake, MN location. The Office & Administrative Specialist, Senior plays an important role in managing the workflow of the Behavioral Expectations Unit (BEU) within the Minnesota Sex Offender Program Moose Lake campus** . The Office & Administrative Specialist, Senior provides technical administrative and clerical services and assists solving managerial, procedural, and practical problems, analyzing, and developing solutions to problems and plans, and organizing and completing special projects and duties. The ability to interact professionally and communicate effectively in a variety of situations is essential as the Office & Administrative Specialist, Senior acts as an office manager for the unit so that all activities directed by the BEU supervisor are carried out independently in a timely and efficient manner. This position will function in a back-up role to other Office & Administrative Specialist, Senior positions within the Security Administration Division. The back-up duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with scheduling duties within the Scheduling Department and communicating with internal/external stakeholders as the first point of contact within the Security Administration Division. Responsibilities include: + The activities of this position are intended to provide elements of due process to those charged with violations of institution rules under supervision of the BEU supervisor. + Facilitate and manage the completion of assignments; and develop and maintain office systems. + Professionally and independently interact with clients and the multidisciplinary team as needed to provide and receive the information needed. + Research, recommend and request necessary budget expenditures. + Maintain working knowledge of current technology and programs for accessing security information from all databases available. + Provide data collection, evaluation, and disbursement of Behavioral Expectations Unit related information and knowledge via BEU supervisor and staff training programs so that institution staff may better exercise responsibility in setting direction, planning, and resolving problems. **Minimum Qualifications** + High School diploma or GED AND + Accounting/Budgeting/Expense skills sufficient to monitor and interpret department budget reports, ensure appropriate documentation for all department budget and revenue activities, and create Electronic Inter-Office Requisitions (EIOR). + Customer service skills sufficient to provide accurate and appropriate information in a professional manner to clients, internal and external customers in person, on the phone, and/or via e-mail. + Data entry performance skills sufficient to efficiently utilize e-mail, draft correspondence, maintain database records, and produce training materials. + English language skills sufficient to effectively read, comprehend, and write correspondence with proficiency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation; and to communicate effectively with diverse co-workers, customers and the general public. + Math skills sufficient to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, divide, and calculate averages). + Physical demands include ability to lift, stand, sit, pull, and stoop; Ability to move paper and batched documents of up to 20 pounds; Ability to move arms on a continual basis sufficient to open mail, sort, and file. + Spreadsheet skills sufficient to develop and modify basic spreadsheets, and sort and extract data. + Typing/Keyboarding skills sufficient to compose correspondence, format documents, and create reports, presentations, charts, and graphs. + Work processing skills to develop and modify a variety of correspondence, records and reports; perform mail merges, develop forms and charts. **Additional Requirements** To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
