Job Summary
Must be eligible for Work Study Winter 2026. This is a position with an off campus agency as a Lifeguard and reports to Aquatics Director. This position is available to be scheduled with shifts starting as early as 5:30am and ending as late as 9:00pm. Weekend shifts are also available.
Responsibilities*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure the safety of all swimmers and observers in the pool area, while maintaining a clean and fun environment. This includes the performance of basic first aid care, patron surveillance, injury prevention, and show up to their designated shifts in a timely manner.
A lifeguard must possess and keep current the following certifications at all times: Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and bloodborne pathogens

Modes of WorkOnsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
