MAJOR FUNCTION:

Examines, evaluates, plans and implements a program of purposeful activities to develop or improve functional skills necessary to achieve the maximum physical or mental functioning of a patient or client for optimum performance. Develops and carries out the plan of care including education of patient /client. Directs and supervises support personnel in Occupational Therapy services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

Graduate from a program in Occupational Therapy.Holds one of the following degrees: Bachelor of Science or Master’s in Occupational Therapy.Acute Care and/or Outpatient experience preferred.         

Certification/Licensure: 

Must maintain current license in the State of NJ to practice Occupational Therapy.Current BLS (American Heart Association) required within 60 days of being hired into the position.National Certification in specialty area preferredPhysical Requirements:
