Position Summary Job Duties: Provides patient care. Assesses and evaluates patients, documents findings, and establishes goals and treatment plans. Fabricates appropriate upper extremity splints to increase range of motion and/or function. Documents patient treatments, evaluations, and progress. Communicates with staff, physicians, and outside agencies in order to report patient progress. Instructs and orients students and volunteers in the Physical & Occupational Therapy Clinic . Establishes and reviews home exercise programs. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Occupational Therapy; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in treating a variety of disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Michigan and BLS certification.
